Brothers and Sisters Club:
A Sibling Support Group


This group was made to provide a support program to brothers and sisters of current and past patients at University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Our goals are to have fun, share feelings, build friendships, be creative and have a special day just for brothers and sisters.

WHO: Siblings of children, ages 5 to 12 years old, who have been or are being treated at University of Iowa Children's Hospital.

WHEN: One Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Contact Emily Mozena, phone 319-356-7113, for information on the next session and to sign-up.

WHERE: University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Activities Therapy Gym room 1701, Pappajohn Pavilion, Level 1. Go to Elevator J and take first right.

Kids

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10 - 11 a.m. — Introduction and Music Session
11 - 11:30 a.m. — Lunch
11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. — Medical Play
12:15 - 1 p.m. — Art and Games

All groups are led by a Child Life Specialist and a Music Therapist. Volunteers are from Dance Marathon.

Pizza and drinks are provided for lunch.
