Hamers received her bachelor’s degree in finance, with a public relations minor from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to joining the Strategic Relations Department, she worked for the Finance and Accounting Department for eight years doing decision support.

Kim Hagie, Program Associate
Corporate and Physician Relations

Hagie received her undergraduate degree in marketing and masters degree in public, private and commercial recreation (emphasis in health promotion and cardiac rehabilitation) from The University of Iowa. She has worked as an exercise physiologist and coordinator of an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program as well as working for the American Cancer Society.

Renee Schechinger, Program Associate
Corporate and Physician Relations

Schechinger graduated from The University of Iowa in 2005 earning bachelor’s degrees in English and communication studies. She joined University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in July 2003, working first for the Joint Office of Patient Financial Services. She recently joined the Department of Strategic Relations in June 2006.
