Clinical Trials
When you become a Virology Clinic patient you are entered into a confidential data base used to determine eligibility for clinical trials. When research trials open that you are eligible for and that may benefit you, you will be contacted. Studies will also be publicized in the clinic newsletter.
Follow-up visits, laboratory tests, and study medications are often provided free of charge. If you are interested in participating in a research study please discuss it with your physician.
Confidentiality
Virology Clinic staff understand the confidentiality concerns of many people with HIV and are familiar with laws protecting HIV-related information. You will be asked at your first visit about your wishes relating to sharing of information with referring physicians, support agencies, or prayers, and your wishes will be respected.
