Financial Assistance
The Paramedic Specialist Full-time Training program is approved for Stafford Loans and Pell Grants (Federal Student Aid) through the UI Office of Financial Aid. In addition, private student loans covering tuition, books, living expenses, etc., are offered to qualified individuals through SLM Financial Corporation, a Sallie Mae company. Application for these loans are available in the EMSLRC office, or call SLM Financial toll-free at 877-834-9851 for more information.

EMSLRC Paramedic and EMT-Basic training programs are approved for veterans educational benefits. Some students may qualify for assistance through their local JTRPA (Job Training Partnership Act) Office. Contact the EMSLRC at 319-356-2597 for further information about financial aid.
