Biological Response Modifiers
Biological Response Modifiers are substances that have been shown to be increasingly useful in the treatment of cancer. These modifiers are substances that can be given to help change the bodys response to cancer cells. They can boost the immune system and make it easier for the body to fight the cancer. The modifiers sometimes have a direct effect on tumors by killing cancer cells, or indirectly affect the cancer cells by changing other body functions that help to kill the cancer cells.
