Patient-Centered Care

Thanks to caregivers like radiation therapist Darlene Chesnut, breast cancer patient Lisa Wilson is benefiting from the momentum of patient-centered care at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The 47-year-old mother of three children is receiving highly specialized treatment from a multidisciplinary team that includes breast medical oncologist Mark Karwal, MD, and radiation oncologist Geraldine Jacobson, MD.
